Tomato Soup With Soup Bone π²
π₯ Ingredients
- 𦴠1 Soup Bone
- π§ 6 Cups of Water
- π₯ 1 Carrot
- π½ 1 Dessertspoon Cornflour
- π 500g Tomatoes
- π§ 1 Onion
- π§ 1 Teaspoon Gravy Salt
- π§ Salt to taste
- πΆοΈ Pepper to taste
- πΏ Herbs to taste
π©βπ³ Method
- Cook the tomatoes separately until tender.
- Mash the cooked tomatoes through a coarse sieve.
- Add the tomatoes to the soup pot with:
- Soup bone
- 6 cups of water
- Whole carrot
- Onion
- Herbs
- Pepper
- Salt
- Bring the soup to the boil.
- Reduce the heat and allow it to simmer for at least 2 hours.
- When the carrot is tender, remove it from the pot.
- Mash the carrot and return it to the soup.
- Remove the soup bone.
- Add cornflour and gravy salt to thicken the soup.
