🔑 When Yesterday Will Not Stay Buried
There are Christians who faithfully confess their sins before God.

Even the sins of decades ago.
Sometimes we ask forgiveness for the same transgression again and again because our own hearts refuse to let it go.
We remember every failure.
Every wrong decision.
Every careless word.
Every missed opportunity.
Yet Scripture reminds us that when we genuinely confess our sins, God forgives us.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

David cried:
“How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever?”
Elijah became so discouraged that he asked God to let him die.
Jeremiah wished he had never been born.
Job questioned everything he was experiencing.
Even our Lord Jesus Christ cried from the cross:
“My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
These were not faithless people.
They were weary people.
There is a difference.
🔑 God Has Not Left
Jesus gave His followers a promise that has never been withdrawn.
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Notice what He did not promise.
He did not promise we would always feel His presence.
He promised that He would remain with us whether we felt Him or not.
Our emotions change.
His character does not.

Perhaps all you can pray today is this:
“Lord, I have nothing left. Please carry me today.”
Perhaps all you can manage is one Psalm.
One verse.
One whispered “Help me.”
That is enough.
God has never required polished prayers.
Only honest ones.

Heavenly Father,
Today I come before You with empty hands.
I have no impressive words, no great strength, and no certainty in my emotions.
Yet Your Word remains true even when my heart feels weak.
Teach me to trust Your promises more than my feelings.
Help me to leave my forgiven sins where You have already placed them—at the foot of the Cross.
When I cannot see the road ahead, remind me that You still walk beside me.
Carry me through this season until joy returns, hope rises again, and peace settles once more within my soul.
