🔑 PlebWare Update: PlebVox Highlighting and Translation in Development.

PlebWare is busy behind the scenes again.

We are currently working on two important improvements to the reading experience: PlebVox word highlighting on mobile devices and translation into other languages.

PlebVox highlighting is already working properly on the PC. We are now testing a mobile-friendly solution because some Android browsers do not provide the same speech-position information that desktop browsers provide.

At the same time, we are working toward a translation system that will allow readers to access PlebWare articles in languages other than the original English, with PlebVox eventually able to read the translated text aloud in an appropriate voice.

If you are reading PlebWare on a phone and the highlighting does not work yet, we apologise! We are actively working on it and testing the system on real mobile devices.

You may therefore occasionally encounter something that is not quite perfect. That is part of what happens when a living system is being developed in public.
