AI Strategy Stack — Mobile Office Notes.

The Mobile Office Gets an AI Upgrade.
Date: 2026-09-05
Location: Fordsburg Office (Ford) — Mobile Setup.
Context: Phone as portable PlebMachine with Total Launcher.
A Pocket-Sized AI Command Centre.
This morning’s little experiment from the Fordsburg mobile office is another step in turning the smartphone into a genuine portable PlebMachine.
Instead of expecting one AI system to do absolutely everything, the workflow is now divided into dedicated roles.
That means each tool gets a job — and, importantly, doesn’t have to carry the whole workload.
The Current AI Strategy.
1. Gemini — Primary Assistant.
Role: Main go-to for general tasks, research, and reasoning.
Status: Active primary.
Gemini currently handles the broad thinking and research workload.
2. DeepSeek — Coding Partner.
Role: Code generation, debugging, and development within the PlebMachine ecosystem.
Status: Active for development work.
DeepSeek has effectively become the workshop assistant for the technical side of PlebMachine.
3. Meta AI — Mobile Notes and Capture.
Role: Notes on the fly, voice-to-text capture, and quick ideas from the vehicle/mobile office.
Status: Active for quick capture.
This is where today’s mockup originated — captured directly from the mobile office while on the move.
4. ChatGPT — Publishing Utility.
Role: Markdown publishing and uploading articles to PlebWare through GitHub.
Status: Publishing utility.
Reason: Token limitations have made it more practical to assign ChatGPT a narrower role in the current workflow.
The interesting part is that this isn’t really a demotion.
It is specialisation.
Instead of asking every AI to be everything, each one gets a defined place in the toolbox.
The PlebMachine and PlebWare Connection.
PlebMachine.
PlebMachine is the local productivity layer.
- Debian + XFCE based.
- Lightweight and efficient.
- Designed for personal computing.
- Built around the idea that useful technology should remain accessible.
- Open source and free to use.
The philosophy is simple:
The Pleb Machine is for the plebs — people who shouldn’t have to pay corporate prices just to have a capable computer.
PlebWare.
PlebWare is the online layer.
It is the learning, publishing, and knowledge-sharing environment connected to the PlebMachine ecosystem.
The basic flow is:
PlebMachine → Create → Learn → Build → Publish → PlebWare.
GitHub provides the workshop and publishing infrastructure, while Markdown remains the language in which the knowledge is assembled.
Why This Matters.
The point isn’t to collect AI tools simply because they are available.
The point is to build a working ecosystem where each tool contributes something useful.
The mobile phone becomes the terminal.
The AI tools become specialised assistants.
PlebMachine provides the local working environment.
PlebWare becomes the place where the resulting knowledge is published and shared.
It is a deliberately decentralised approach to getting useful work done without being locked into one expensive corporate ecosystem.
The Mission.
All tools remain focused on being open, accessible, and free for personal use, with the broader goal of empowering people who are priced out of expensive corporate software ecosystems.
Today’s Fordsburg mobile-office experiment may look like a simple collection of AI apps on a phone.
But underneath it is something rather more interesting:
a pocket-sized PlebMachine.
